Trump says he will deploy the military to stop ongoing protests





Trump stated he will take immediate military actions in the cities where the protests and violence are occurring if the heads of the cities/states fail to take actions against them. The short statement by Trump said he will quickly solve these problems by deploying the United State Military. This is called an Insurrection act of 1807, in order to do this, he has to invoke the act.

An Insurrection act is, deploying the countries land and naval forces to stop violence. This act was last implemented in 1992, during the Los Angeles riots. Even tough earlier amendment of this law was to set a time limit for the protestors to move out in failure the forces will be taking over the areas. It was later amended a president can consider when to activate the law according to the seriousness of the situations.
