Former US Defense Secretary James Mattis criticizes the acts of Trump

The Former US Defense Secretary James Mattis says “Donald Trump is the first president in my lifetime who does not try to unite American people, does not even pretend to try. Instead he tries to divide us.” He also stated that they are witnessing the results of three years of immature leadership, only a small number of lawbreakers should not distract the forces, the protests carried out by tens and thousands of citizens are insisting that we live up to our values. Never had he dreamed of military being ordered to violate constitutional rights of the citizens. Mattis also mentioned the incident where Trump took a photograph near a historic church he took right after throwing tear gas and shooting rubber bullets at the protestors and also damaging the church itself. Mattis says this is abuse of executive authority.

But Trump calls Mattis a “Mad Dog” and the only thing he and Barack Obama had in common was the honor of firing this overrated general. He asked for the resignation letter of Mattis and felt great about it. The nick name Mattis had ‘Chaos’ which Trump didn’t like later change to ‘Mad Dog’. Mattis’s resignation letter had criticized the president’s foreign policy and also, he had condemned using the force of military against protestors.
